# HELIARKO - THE INSTALL SHEET

One page. Read it once before the first start; keep it in the box.

## What you need

A Windows computer (Windows 10 or 11), about four gigabytes of free
space, and twenty quiet minutes. Heliarko is portable: it lives in one
folder and never installs itself into the system. That folder can sit
on your main disk or on an external SSD that travels with you.

## Where to unpack

Unpack the Heliarko folder anywhere you want it to live - for example
`D:\Heliarko` or an external drive. Keep it out of cloud-synced
folders (Dropbox, OneDrive): your capsule is private by construction,
and a sync service would quietly copy it elsewhere.

## First run

Open the folder and start **HELIARKO**. The first run takes a little
longer: the capsule is preparing your life's home. Choose your
language when asked - Heliarko speaks English, German, French,
Spanish, and Polish.

## Set your PIN

The capsule will ask you to choose a PIN. This PIN seals what is
sensitive inside your capsule - choose one you will remember, and
write it down somewhere safe on paper. The capsule brakes calmly
after repeated wrong entries and keeps braking even through a
restart; that is protection, not a malfunction.

## Where your life lives

Everything you put into Heliarko - every photo, letter, memory, and
message - lives in ONE folder inside the Heliarko folder, named
`GENOMA_Capsule` (the engine's technical name on disk; everything you
see inside the app says Heliarko). The program around it can be
replaced, updated, or rebuilt; that one folder IS your life. Treat it
accordingly: never edit it by hand, and back it up often.

## The backup button

In **Settings**, the Backup section has one honest button: **Create
backup**. It writes one sealed file; choose a destination on a
DIFFERENT disk than the capsule (the picker already steers you
outside). A backup on the same disk dies with that disk. Verify a
backup any time with **Verify backup**; bring one back with
**Restore backup**.

## Updates

The capsule will quietly tell you when a letter is on the shelf;
nothing installs without your yes. And the standing ritual, once
more, because it is the whole law of safe updating:
