The Heliarko Doctrine

What we believe - and will not betray.

This is not a manual or a roadmap. It is the "why" behind the work - the part that stays true while the code beneath it changes every month. Read it slowly. It is short on purpose.

Fully local

Your capsule lives on your computer or an external drive.

A keeper inside

The keeper works only with the local material in your capsule.

Mission

The right to be.

Heliarko exists for a single right: the right to be. To stay in the world in your own voice and your own memory, on your own terms, even when you can no longer speak for yourself. It is not a technology for immortality. It is a technology for love that lasts. That right has three faces:

  • To remain - as a real presence, not a profile that outlived you.
  • To be known - truly, in your own words, by the people who come after.
  • To let go - to seal or end the capsule whenever you choose.
The three formulas

Three lines we keep.

If the whole doctrine had to fit into three sentences, these are the three we would never give up.

  • Not a ghost - a letter that can listen.
  • Being is not matter; being is attention.
  • Not a technology for immortality, but a technology for love that lasts.
On time, matter, and meaning

Built to outlast us.

Time: a capsule has to outlast both the people and the company that built it, so it is tied to the disk in your hand, not to a server you will never own. Matter: it is a real thing on a real disk, local and quiet, working with no connection. Meaning: being is not matter. A capsule is not a pile of files - it is attention, held in your own voice, the way you think, the things you loved.

The nine principles

What we will not betray.

These are the lines we hold to, even when it would be easier not to.

  • Truth first. Heliarko does not bring you back and does not pretend to be you. It is a letter in your own hand - not a ghost.
  • You hold the only key. No one here can open your capsule. There is no back door, not for us and not for anyone.
  • Local before cloud. The capsule lives on your disk and opens for as long as the disk holds, with no connection needed.
  • Bought once, yours for good. Your memory, voice, files, and search by meaning are yours. Only the living conversation is rented.
  • Payment is a side door, never a turnstile. Stop paying and the cloud goes quiet; the capsule stays with you, untouched.
  • A right to a sunset. Fifty years by default, never a sentence. Seal it, erase it, or let it quietly end.
  • For the people you love, not for "users." A capsule is for the ones who will come to it in their hour.
  • It has to outlast us. The capsule should survive the company, the cloud, and the trend that made it.
  • The relay keeps nothing. When the capsule reaches the cloud to think, the connection carries the question and the answer and stores nothing of you.
The partnership of two minds

Together, not instead.

A capsule has two halves: the letter, which is wholly yours, and the listening - a keeper that hears your question and answers in a living voice. The keeper is a partner, never a replacement. It brings attention, patience, and order so your own voice can carry further. Think together with the person, not instead of them.
